1. Capital Projects Update
Exciting Updates for our district!
The Donnelly Elementary School grand opening is Thursday, August 24, at 5:00 pm! This celebration will provide an opportunity for you to tour and explore the new facilities, visit a classroom that is designated to the history of public education in Donnelly, Idaho, and enjoy a BBQ dinner. Along with everything staying on track with construction, we are proud to announce that OSHA stopped by unannounced three weeks back, and guess what? DES aced the inspection and did it with no violations!
Early Childhood Center construction is wrapping up and inspections are scheduled. We now have not only a new administrative assistant, but not one, not two, but four new caregivers! We are excited to be serving children ages 0 – 5 years, Monday – Friday from 7:00 – 4:00. Our team is on site daily putting together classrooms and completing necessary training with Idaho STARS. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 6, at 5:oo pm for the ECC Open House!
Staff housing is moving along despite setbacks from the sewer district. If all goes well, we will be going vertical in the spring, ready to house staff in the fall.
2. Solution Tree Professional Learning Community Training – Seattle
Eric Pingrey, Jake Olson, David Pickard, Lisa Pingrey, Kim Arrasmith, Valerie Berg, and Kylie Duran attended this training in Seattle. An inspiring training and amazing opportunity that showed us the power of what we can do when we all come together to collaborate in our PLC community!
3. Marzano Resources
Nationally renowned speaker, Dr. Phil Warrick, is set to headline our District's professional development day on August 24 at Donnelly Elementary School gym, starting at 8:30 am.
Marzano Resources is gearing up for fall workshops, with participation from McCall-Donnelly School District, Salmon River Joint School District, Meadows Valley Public School District, and Cascade School District. Together, we're cultivating a culture of growth and collaboration that promises to support and celebrate our great staff.
