Donnelly Elementary is honored to be named an ESEA Distinguished School for 2018!
Congratulations to our students, teachers, staff and the community of Donnelly. This is a prestigious award that recognizes the hard work and commitment from the faculty and staff and the unconditional support from our community.
Donnelly Elementary is one of only two schools in the state of Idaho to receive this prestigious distinction. In order for a school to qualify for the Distinguished School Award, it must meet a certain criteria that includes demonstrating high academic achievement for two or more consecutive years and meet or exceed state-determined criteria based on two or more consecutive years of data.
Donnelly Elementary School's selection came in the category of Closing the Achievement Gap. The school improved the mathematics performance of economically disadvantaged students by 20.6% over the past two years.
Thanks to the support of the McCall-Donnelly School District Board and Superintendent Foudy, we were able to send a team of staff members to the ESEA National Conference held in Kansas City. The team was recognized at the national level and able to attend sessions on a variety of topics that will assist us as we move forward.
