Laura is a retired physician and current Red Cross volunteer who loves the McCall and Donnelly communities. Her passions are helping others and supporting our youth. She has spent years on state and industry boards, with experience budgeting, recruiting, improving quality and safety, and collaborating across teams.
While Laura and her husband’s careers were in Boise, the family spent time in their home in McCall often over the last 10 years. Both retired in 2022 and moved here permanently. One daughter is a public-school teacher, and the other is a junior in college at the University of Vermont. The whole family loves Idaho’s outdoors.
Laura is passionate about public education. Growing up, her mother was a publicschool teacher, and Laura, her husband, and both daughters attended public schools. She believes that public schools are the bedrock of the community. Schools are there to serve and support all children with a spirit of inclusivity, kindness, safety, and encouragement.

Laurie is committed to supporting, fostering and improving public education. She graduated from Portland State University and earned a Masters of Public Administration/Educational Administration degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland. After spending 20 years in Oregon as a teacher and administrator, Laurie returned to Idaho in 1998 to serve as the Payette Lakes Middle School principal. She retired from the McCall-Donnelly School District in 2005, working as a consultant for a strategic planning firm specializing in higher education. Laurie and her husband Scott reside in McCall. They have three sons and four grandchildren. They are owners of Lightning Creek Outfitters, a non-profit whitewater rafting company which they established to share their love of the outdoors.

As a 5th generation member of our community and MDSD graduate, Jill’s pride and passion for our district, its teachers and administrators, and most importantly its students is second to none. Beyond her rich community heritage and passion for MDSD, Jill brings over 20 years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods Industry and is presently the Division Vice President for Pharmavite LLC, leading the vitamin and supplements business under the Nature Made brand at Costco Wholesale. Jill’s most important role is Mom to two MDSD students, Josie and Charlie. She loves working on the family ranch with her children and husband Colby, as well as horseback riding, participating in 4-H and serving at Elk Creek Church.
