My name is Valerie Berg and I was hired as the Principal for Barbara R. Morgan Elementary School in May 2015.

2023-24 will be my 20th year as an Elementary School Principal and my 28th year in education.  Prior to coming to McCall, I worked in the Middleton School District where I was the Elementary Principal for nine years at Mill Creek Elementary.  I also spent five years in the Nampa School District and another five years of teaching in North Dakota, which is where I grew up.  I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Dakota in Elementary Education and Special Education and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from North Dakota State University.  

In my rare “free time”, I love to bike (not uphill), downhill ski (slowly), walk/hike, camp, boat, beach-it, read, vacation, play with technology, attend sporting events and just be home with my family.  I have a great husband, who also works in education, and have two children, Amiah & Cooper who love all sports and activities, especially soccer, mountain biking, skiing, basketball, track, and golf!!

I love our Barbara R. Morgan school family!  Our kids and staff will make you smile.  Set up a tour sometime to see first hand all the amazing things going on during a typical day at school.  We love volunteers and will get you scheduled as soon as you are able/willing!
