Welcome to the Career Center/Counseling Office

  • The McCall-Donnelly Counseling and Career Center has many resources available to help students during their high school years and in planning for their future. We invite you to search information helpful to them individually for decisions they face about post high school options. Parents and students are encouraged also to come into the center and meet with us.

Our school counselor is available to meet with students regarding personal/social problems, academics and college/career choices. Our goal is to support students and provide them with the resources they need to be successful. For more information on the role of the school counselor read this article: Counselor's Role

    Informed Consent

A critical part of the counseling relationship is the establishment and maintenance of a trusting and confidential relationship between the counselor and the student. The counselor will encourage a strong line of communication between the student and his/her parent(s) / guardian(s), teacher(s), and other stakeholders in the student’s life. The best interest of the student is the core focus of any interaction between the counselor and student.

Certain legal restrictions arise and confidentiality cannot be maintained. These cases include: (a) any form of child abuse , (b) danger to one’s self , and (c) danger to others . The counselor may also choose to consult with other professionally competent mental health professionals.
