Driver’s Education Program
Who: any FULL-TIME student age: 14 years, 6 months and older
Where: McCall-Donnelly High School
How: 30-hour online coursework through IDLA (Idaho Digital Learning Academy) over six weeks paired with (6) two-hour “Behind the Wheel” sessions (1 hour driving, 1 hour observing).
When: All 2022 Driver's Education sessions have been filled. Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" basis. *Class scheduling may be adjusted according to availability.
Session 1: April 4 through May 14, 2022 SESSION FULL
Session 2: May 16 through July 2, 2022 SESSION FULL
Session 3: July 5 through August 20, 2022 SESSION FULL
Session 4: August 22 through October 8, 2022 SESSION FULL

What is needed: To be eligible for enrollment in the McCall-Donnelly School District Driver’s Education program, each student must purchase a Driver Training permit at the County Sheriff's Licensing Department. The permit must be purchased before the student participates in ANY instruction. You will need the following documents to purchase a permit:
+ Students MUST be 14 years, 6 months at the time of purchase
+ Verification of Compliance - VOC (if under 18)
*contact the Driver’s Education Coordinator to request your VOC or request from your school administrative office
*If homeschooled, you must be enrolled in a home education program for at least one year prior to the VOC request.
+ Proof of Age and Identity (Birth Certificate)
+ Social Security Card or Number for Verification
+ Proof of Idaho Residency
+ Acceptable Lawful Presence Documents (if applicable)
+ Visual/Medical Certification (if applicable)
+ Liability Signer (if under 18)Cost: The MDSD Driver’s Education Program is $305.00 per student. Check or Money Order only - paid directly to MDSD. Payment due to Driver's Ed. Coordinator before the 1st day of class. This cost covers your IDLA enrollment and “Behind the Wheel” instruction.
Curriculum and Grading: Content Standards developed by The State Department of Education, Bureau of Driver Education, are followed. Students are graded in three separate areas: driving, attitude and classroom on a pass-fail basis; letter grades are not given.
